4089_en-coverThe present Cedefop publication analyses several national approaches to accreditation and draws comparisons between them. Some sectoral examples are also included.
This work builds on the common quality assurance framework (CQAF) as developed by the European Commissionʼs technical working group (TWG) on quality in VET (2003-05) and as further consolidated by the ENQA-VET network (2006-07), with the substantial technical and scientific support of Cedefop.

CordisToday (20/07/2010), the European Commission published 51 calls for proposals on CORDIS.

FP7The European Commission has published the new Work Programme for 2011-2012 . This Work Programme defines the priorities for calls for proposals that will result in projects to be launched in the period 2011-12. It is split into sub-work programmes per key domain.

call-ppp_249_180New calls will be announced soon (probably June/July and September 28) on PPP - Public-Private-Partnership in the field of the Future Internet in order to create a climate to encourage investment and also to look at the Internet of Things (IoT) in the European Economic Recovery Plan.

ACTIF-Europe participated at the conference the Internet of Things (1-2 June 2010) oraganised by the European Commission with the participation of representatives as well from Japan, USA, China and Korea.

Out of the technical/technology and policy content, two presentations were made on the coming calls and the structure of the following calls.

 

circle-digital-economyHalf of European productivity growth over the past 15 years was already driven by information and communications technologies and this trend is likely to accelerate. The Agenda outlines seven priority areas for action: creating a digital Single Market, greater interoperability, boosting internet trust and security, much faster internet access, more investment in research and development, enhancing digital literacy skills and inclusion, and applying information and communications technologies to address challenges facing society like climate change and the ageing population.

In these seven areas, the Digital Agenda foresees some 100 follow-up actions, of which 31 would be legislative. The Digital Agenda is the first of seven flagship initiatives under the Europe 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.
